Your journey

Six clear steps, one coordinator

You always know what happens next, who is looking after you and what it costs.

  1. Share your reports

Send recent eye reports, scans (OCT, visual fields, photographs), your glasses prescription and a list of your medicines by WhatsApp or email.

  2. Specialist review & online consultation

Our eye specialists and Ayurvedic physicians study your reports together. If it helps, you meet the doctor in an online consultation by video.

  3. Your written plan & estimate

You receive the suggested treatment, the expected length of stay, what is included, and an itemised estimate in Indian rupees.

  4. Visa & travel

Once you confirm, we issue your medical invitation letter and help arrange pickup and accommodation near the hospital.

  5. Treatment in Jalgaon

Your coordinator meets you, books every test and appointment, and stays in touch daily until you are discharged.

  6. Back home, still cared for

You leave with your reports in English, a letter for your local doctor and follow-up video reviews with the doctor who treated you.

Before you travel

What to send us

The more we know, the more precise your plan and estimate can be. Photos of paper reports taken on your phone are fine.

Please send medical documents only to the official email address or WhatsApp number shown on this website. See our privacy notice for how we protect them.

  1. Recent eye reports and scans — OCT, visual fields, retinal photographs, corneal maps or ultrasound, if you have them.
  2. Your glasses or contact-lens prescription, and any previous eye surgery or laser.
  3. All the medicines you take — especially blood thinners, diabetes and blood-pressure tablets.
  4. Other health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease or allergies.
  5. Your travel window — when you would like to come and how long you can stay.
  6. A passport copy — only once you decide to travel, for your visa letter.

Medical visa

Visa letters and official guidance

Most visitors coming to India for treatment use the e-Medical Visa. Always apply on the official Government of India website — rules and fees can change, so check the latest details there before you book.

e-Medical Visa

Apply online at the official portal, indianvisaonline.gov.in. We provide the hospital letter confirming your planned treatment.

e-Medical Attendant Visa

A family member or friend travelling with you can apply for an attendant visa linked to your e-Medical Visa.

Avoid look-alike sites

Unofficial websites often charge extra fees for the same application. The government portal ends in .gov.in.

Getting here & staying

Reaching Jalgaon is easier than you think

Jalgaon is a well-connected city in northern Maharashtra, on India's main railway line between Mumbai and the north and east of the country.

By air

Fly into Mumbai (BOM) for the widest international connections. Depending on schedules, you can continue on a domestic flight to Jalgaon (JLG) or Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (IXU).

By train or road

Trains from Mumbai reach Jalgaon Junction in about 6–8 hours; the drive takes a similar time. We can help you choose and arrange pickup from the station or airport.

Where to stay

We share hotel options near the hospital for every budget and help you book. Programme patients stay in our Panchakarma in-patient wing, with meals from our kitchen.

Costs & payment

Your estimate is itemised and given in writing before you travel, in Indian rupees. Any change is discussed with you first.

Language

Our team speaks English, Hindi and Marathi. Reports, prescriptions and discharge summaries are written in English.

Rest days

The Ajanta Caves are about 60 km away, and Ellora is a day trip via Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Your doctor will tell you when it is safe to travel and fly.

Questions & answers

What international patients ask us

How do I get a free opinion before travelling?

Send your recent eye reports, scans and a list of your medicines by WhatsApp or email, or use the form on our Contact page. A specialist reviews them and replies with an opinion, a suggested plan and an estimate — free, and with no obligation.

How long will I need to stay in India?

It depends on your treatment. Cataract surgery usually needs about a week in Jalgaon, with the final spectacle check done later at home. Ayurvedic programmes last 7 to 21 days. Your written plan states the expected stay before you book flights.

Is Ayurveda safe alongside my modern treatment?

That is exactly why Netrayu exists. Your eye surgeon and your Ayurvedic physicians are one team, so therapies are timed safely around surgery and medicines. Ayurveda is offered alongside evidence-based eye care — never instead of it. Please tell us about every medicine and supplement you take.

Can a family member travel with me?

Yes. A companion can apply for India's e-Medical Attendant Visa, and we can help find accommodation for both of you.

Will the doctors and staff speak English?

Yes. Our doctors and international desk speak English, and all reports, prescriptions and discharge summaries are written in English. Hindi and Marathi are also spoken.

How and when do I pay?

You receive an itemised estimate in Indian rupees before you travel. Payment arrangements are explained in your plan, and any change in cost is discussed with you before it happens.

What happens after I go home?

You leave with your reports and a letter for your local eye doctor. Follow-up reviews continue by video call with the doctor who treated you, and you can reach your coordinator on WhatsApp.

Can I combine treatment with sightseeing?

Often, yes — Ajanta and Ellora are within reach. After eye surgery there are a few days when you should rest and avoid dust, so your doctor will tell you which days are suitable.

Is my medical information kept private?

Yes. Your information is used only to plan and provide your care and is seen only by the team involved. Read our privacy notice for details.

Free second opinion

No obligation. A specialist replies with an opinion, a suggested plan and an itemised estimate.
